Product Description

The Topcon PZL-1 (Positioning Zone Laser) is a specialized rotating laser transmitter used in millimeter GPS (mmGPS) construction systems to deliver ultra-precise 3D vertical and horizontal guidance for heavy machinery. Note: Sensor battery not included.

How It Works

  • Laser Wall: It emits a unique, coded fan beam of laser light that creates a zone 33 feet (10 meters) high and up to 2,000 feet (600 meters) in diameter.
  • Millimeter Accuracy: Sensors mounted on rovers or paving machines receive this laser signal alongside GPS data, reducing vertical measurement error to fractions of an inch.
  • Stakeless Operation: The combination of GPS and laser data eliminates the need for physical wooden stakes or string lines on the job site.
